2017 Triumph Street Triple gets three versions- Street Triple S, Street Triple R and Street Triple RS, the latter two have received ABS as well.
Triumph has unveiled a new range of its street fighter, the Street Triple, in the UK. It now comes with three options as Street Triple S, R and RS. All three of them share the identical looks but are different at the mill with varying power figures and a few other mechanical alterations.
The Triumph Street Triple’s new variants come with the 765cc triple-cylinder engine and all the versions carry different power figures. The Street Triple S, being the base version, delivers the power of 113 HP and 53 Nm of torque. The R version has quite uplifted power delivery with the figure of 118 HP and 56 Nm of torque while the high-end Street Triple RS churns out 123 HP and 56 Nm.
On the safety front, the Street Triple R and RS have received ABS fitment which is switchable. The mechanical bits are also slightly different as per the versions. Talking about the base S model, it carries 41mm upside down front forks and Showa reservoir rear mono shock with adjustable preload. On the R and RS versions, the brakes and suspensions are quite upmarket as compared to the base S model.
With the DRL headlamps, it holds a 5 inch TFT display for displaying information. Self-cancelling indicators, fly screen and integrated air intakes are the additional extras.
The Triumph Street Triple S gets the colour options of Diablo red and Phantom Black, while the Street Triple R comes with Jet Black, Matt Silver and Crystal White. The top-end RS have been shrouded with options of Matt Silver Ice and Phantom Black.
The 2017 Triumph Street Triple will be available for the customers by May 2017 on the UK market. No confirmation have been received regarding the pricing, we could expect it to be a bit hiked though as compared to the current gen model.
