Alta, a startup manufacturer of electric bikes, has unveiled two new electric motocross bikes with improved mechanical changes.
You might have heard of various brands working on an electric car and scooters. In the case of electric scooters, we have a wide range of options to choose from. However, all-electric scooters have become an old story while the days are not too far when we will splatter a lot of dirt and mud on electric motocross bikes.
Alta is in full fledge working and has developed a few of such all-electric bikes which are capable enough for adventurous off-roading. They have been working on the fuel-less dirt bikes since 2011. Their first ready mule was showcased in 2015 which is one of its kind till date.
Redshift is the series of bikes by Alta and they have unveiled a new model in this range with increased capabilities. Enhancements include increased battery backup, speed and reduction in weight. At moment, we don’t have any reports regarding the features and specifications that these bikes will possess but it will be interesting to see how an electric motor will drag the rider and bike on steep inclines with the same energy and agility as the conventional motocross machines.
Alta has recently received a fund of $17 million by Tesla co-founders Marc Tarpenning and Martin Eberhard.
The new versions of the Redshift bikes from Alta are Redshift SM and Redshift MX where the prices of former start at $15,500.
