The i3S technology has been implemented on these bikes, apart from many others from the company having it as well.
Hero has launched the new 2017 versions of the HF-Deluxe and Super Splendor with its exclusive i3S technology. Since the company has been on top of the list of commuter-friendly motorcycle manufacturers, it is bound to update its entry-level offerings. Apart from the Karizma and Xtreme, 100-125 cc segment has been ruled by Hero since years.
Overall updates on both the bikes apart from the i3S tech, is the always headlamp on (AHO) feature and refreshed graphics. The fitment of AHO is an unprecedented move in this segment of motorcycles and, only the Hero could have done that.
A news has been floating around the internet that Bajaj is currently the only bikemaker to comply all its offering with BS IV emission norms which is a great move for pollution curtailment. It is still to be confirmed whether Hero will do so and it is not yet known if these bikes come with this norm compliance engines or not.
Mechanically, the HF-Deluxe and Super Splendor remains unchanged strapping the same 97.2cc, air-cooled engine for the former and 124.7cc, horizontal single engine for the latter. The figures and engine type are the same been used in predecessors. The HF-Deluxe is capable of producing of 8.36PS of power and 8.5 Nm of torque whereas the Super Splendor puts out 9.13 PS and 10.53 Nm.
The Hero Super Splendor comes with extremely affordable price tag of Rs 55,275 (ex-showroom Delhi) and the HF-Deluxe’ price is yet to be known.
