The new strict emission norms have made all the bikemakers shift from the outdated engine technology to new, efficient and pollution-free mills. Owing to these norms, UM as well has moved a notch higher and has evolved their engines with EFI (electronic fuel injection) system which makes it more refined and prompt. Having received this new technology are the bikes Renegade Commando and Renegade Sport S.
There are more considerable changes which have occurred on the engine front, except for being BS IV. As now, the fuel injection will be controlled electronically, the response from the engine for the acceleration will be quicker, controlled and precise. But, this is what company says. The spec sheet still shows the older figures including 25.1 PS of power at 8,500 RPM and 21.8 Nm of torque at 7,000 RPM.
The Royal-Enfield dominated Indian market apparently has a competitor which claims of being a nice alternative if someone’s looking for a second option over the British classics. The company CEO says that the new technology on the bikes possess enhanced driving pleasure with fuel injected assembly and it complies with the new emission norms.
