After having seen the MotoGP setup this year, Argentina, for the first time, is getting itself ready to host the World Superbike Championship from 2018. Being under development, the Villicum circuit is a 4.2 kilometer tarmac with various twisties residing into it. More than a half of the construction process is accomplished with the remaining expected to be finished by the end of this year.
The track is located in San Juan province and it might be homologated later this year, as soon as it will be ready. One of the renowned architech Leonardo Stella, has been the core designer behind this amazing racing arena and the making of it was intialised in October last year.
San Juan is not new in hosting a racing event and has been seing various such bike races. Among which, the well known is the Dakar Rally which was held here some time back. It is the first time that this international racing action will take place in South America with Argentina to become the 26th country to host WSBK (World Superbike Championship).
