Honda is all set to launch the new CBR 650F with BS IV engine by mid-2017. Bookings will commence by next month and the prices will see a hike of over Rs. 30,000 more as compared to what it demands currently. Apart from the new engine with cleaner emissions, power figures have also been tweaked for boosted performance and the cycle parts have also been through a minor overhaul.
After the retune, the 649cc liquid-cooled, inline four cylinder motor now pumps out 90 PS of power and 64 Nm of torque while the gear ratios have become shorter. The increased power surge can be experienced above 5000 RPM, as reported by the company. Gone through changes are also intake and exhaust system which now helps in cutting down the back pressure. With the mileage of 20 kmpl, the new Honda CBR 650F should enthral a wide number of enthusiasts for its economical touring capabilities. e
Coming to other changes been executed on the bike, the suspension system has been upgraded with a new set up for making it more rider-friendly. It now features 41mm Showa Dual Bending Valve (SDBV) forks up front and preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear. All the other specifications and features of the motorcycle remain unchanged.
