Scooters have gained huge popularity in India and have been fetching an increasing number of buyers with each passing day. Among these scooters, Vespa marks its position at a different spot with the premium built quality and grunty engine. Now, owing to the success in the country, the Italian manufacturer Piaggio has launched the Elegante Special Edition version of Vespa for the Indian market.
The authentic aura of the Vespa Elegante is its paint job which, according to the officials, is inspired by the stunning beaches of the Italian coastline. Available colours are Beige Unico and Pearl White, which are exclusive from the company. Also, the added excitement to the offering are the additional accessories to come with the scooter. Body coloured helmet and a set of chrome guard panels including front bumper guard come as an extra topping.
Apart from the alluring colour of the Elegante Special Edition, nothing has changed in terms of underpinnings and motor, which are similar to that of the Vespa SXL 150 and VXL 150. The scooter runs on a 150cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine capable of churning out 11.6 PS at 7000 RPM of power and 11.5 Nm of torque at 5,500 RPM. The tubeless tyres hold a set of 12-inch alloys and ventilated front disc brake for anchoring.
