Yamaha V-Ixion R Showcased At 2017 Indonesia Motorcycle Show

Yamaha has taken wraps off the V-Ixion R naked bike at the 2017 Indonesia International Motorcycle Show, which is a sportier sibling of the already present V-Ixion. The motorcycle flaunts a street fighter look with sharp body parts and carries the same engine strapped on the Yamaha R15 V 3.0 which is a faired motorcycle. The V-Ixion R comes with all the bells and whistles which make it a competitive option in the entry-level performance market.

To start with the muscles of the bike, the frame is of perimeter type which vitalises the handling of the motorcycle. For tackling the uncertainties of the road, it employs telescopic forks and mono shock suspension at the front and rear, respectively. Information is displayed on the fully digital instrument cluster which conveys a handful of information while it carries a charging port for your phones not to get dead.

Coming below the tank, the Yamaha V-Ixion R comes with a 155.1cc liquid-cooled, fuel injected SOHC engine. Power delivery sets it apart from the other similar capacity offerings which is recorded as 19.3 PS at 10,000 RPM and 14.7 Nm at 7,500 RPM. The VVA (Variable Valve Actuation) tech backs the motor which makes the response gradual keeping the mileage in limits.

The new naked bike from Yamaha has been designed keeping in mind its daily commuting nature as well as for touring. However, the tank comes with the capacity of just 11 litres which could be a problem on long hauls. It is made available in three colours including Matte Red Black, Blue Silver and Green White.
